What This School Is
Not a coaching program.

BGMS is the school Brandi Richard Thompson has been building for twenty years. It teaches grown Black women what the world keeps separating: that the hair, the lipstick, the laugh, the body, the voice, the way she walks into a room are not performance laid on top of some hidden “real self.” They are the magic itself, made visible.
Schools teach. Schools have curriculum. Schools have grown women in them who know how to come home to themselves and how to show up whole in a world that requires pieces.

The Homecoming
The deep inner-work experience inside Black Girl Magic School. Over 8 weeks, a small cohort of grown Black women moves through the guided, held, intensive work of returning to herself. Brandi leads. The cohort witnesses. The woman arrives.

The Unveiling
For women who have completed The Homecoming: the deep inner work is done. Now the covering comes off. Over 8 weeks, a small cohort moves through the deeply authentic, congruent expression of who she actually is. Not performance. The natural consequence of coming home: the magic becomes visible.

Meet Your Teacher
Brandi Richard Thompson is the founder of Black Girl Magic School, a certified coach, and the author of Operation Growth. She spent twenty years in federal emergency management protecting communities. Now she teaches grown Black women how to protect, nurture, and fully express themselves.
BGMS is the school she has been preparing to build for her entire career: the place where the inner work and the outer expression meet, and where Black women’s knowledge is treated as authoritative, not footnoted.
